| Company ProfileIL (Tommy) Tucker entered the real estate business in 1955, after ten years working in association with his father, IL (Irv) Tucker in his father's manufacturing business. In 1958, Tommy Tucker Realty Co. was founded. In 1969, Tommy Tucker acquired Professional Management Associates Co., which is our property management division. In 1988, Tommy invited his son, Robin Tucker, to join the two companies as controller. Robin Tucker and Tommy Tucker are members of the Cedar Rapids Area Association of Realtors®, the local multiple listing service, as well as the Iowa and National Association of Realtors®. Both are active members of Rotary International. Realtors® Judy Nicholls and LaVon Sayre have been affiliated with Tommy Tucker Realty Co. for over 20 years. They are also members of the CRAAR, IAR and NAR, which are the local, state and National.
Tommy Tucker has achieved Realtor® Emeritus status with the National Association of Realtors. Mr. Tucker's service has included service as the former local board president of the Cedar Rapids Association of Realtors, former state president of the Iowa Association of Realtors and former national vice president of the National Association of Realtors during his more than 50 years of service to the industry. Tommy Tucker has been awarded many honors from various levels of the industry during his 53+ years. LaVerne Tucker, Tommy's wife, retired from real estate practice at the end of 2007. LaVerne has been an active part of Tommy Tucker Realty Co. in a variety of capacities during the 50 years of service that Tommy Tucker Realty Co. has provided to customers and clients in the State of Iowa. She is active in a variety of organizations. Tommy Tucker has worked hard to improve the community through his work in Civil Rights and the Housing Industry. Tommy was original board member of the Cedar Rapids Civil Right Commission, serving the City for 31 years. Robin Tucker served on the 2004-05 Home Rule Charter Commission for the City of Cedar Rapids. Also, Robin has been active in a variety of youth and adult sports activities over the years. Robin's secretary is an active volunteer for many years at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
